Price and warranty
$29 diagnostic fee, taken off the repair price if you go ahead. After diagnosing it we email a quote with parts, labor and (for mail-in) insured return shipping. Nothing is repaired without your OK, and repairs carry a 90-day warranty on the part replaced and the work done. Mail it in from anywhere in the US, or drop it off in Lansing, MI by appointment.

Slow, freezing or full of pop-ups? That’s often software, and a remote session can fix it without sending anything.

How much does laptop screen replacement cost?+
It depends on the model and the screen. We diagnose it for $29, then email an exact quote with parts, labor and return shipping. The $29 is taken off the repair price.
Can you replace a laptop battery?+
Yes, on Windows laptops. If the battery is swollen, don’t mail it—tell us in your repair request and we’ll arrange safe handling.
My laptop only charges at an angle. Can you fix it?+
Usually, yes. That’s often a worn charging port or DC jack, which we can replace. We confirm the cause during the $29 diagnosis.
Will an SSD upgrade make my old laptop faster?+
Usually it’s the biggest speed-up for an older laptop with a hard drive. We can fit the SSD, reinstall Windows and move your files across.
